About
I am a postdoctoral fellow in the MegaPast2Future project, hosted by BIOCHANGE - Center for Biodiversity Dynamics in a Changing World and Ecoinf - Section for Ecoinformatics and Biodiversity, in the Department of Bioscience at Aarhus University in Denmark. MegaPast2Future in a project focusing on developing a solid, synthetic understanding of megafauna ecosystem ecology and its potential role in developing a sustainable, biodiverse future.
Before that, I was a Claude Leon postdoctoral fellow in the Centre for African Conservation Ecology at Nelson Mandela University where I analyzed historical occurrence records of terrestrial mammals in South Africa to reconstruct historical baselines of large mammals and inform the conservation of depleted species.
I studied at the University of Montpellier, France, where I investigated the foraging behaviour of griffon vultures in response to management actions (as part of my MSc degree, supervised by Olivier Duriez and Simon Benhamou) and the historical distribution and abundance of marine mammals (as part of my PhD, supervised by Ana Rodrigues).
When I am not in the office, I like to travel, hike, camp in the wild, and try to take decent photographies of all that (check my Flickr account).
